QUORN SURVEY
“Hi Everyone, I am doing some research on importing QUORN.
I would very much like to hear from you all about whether you have tried QUORN and whether you would buy it (at between $9-$12 p/kg) if it is available in New Zealand. Please contact me by e-mail: shai “

Quorn: We get many enquiries from both NZ and UK vegetarians who are searching for quorn products here. Quorn is not currently available in New Zealand.
Yes, the New Zealand Vegetarian Society has approached Marlow Foods Ltd in the UK, which makes Quorn products, several times over the last few years. Unfortunately the company has no intention of bringing Quorn products down under at this stage. Several people out there have undertaken to contact Marlow Foods with a view to importing Quorn products to New Zealand themselves. The most recent enquiry of this sort was last year (2008), but unfortunately the company has still replied in the negative. However, if anything new develops we will add it here.
There is no direct equivalent of Quorn in New Zealand at the moment, however look out for Fry’s vegetarian products in the freezer department of your supermarket or try Asian supermarkets for their vegetarian meat-like products such as vegetarian sausages, cutlets, schnitzels, mince, burgers and bacon.
Remember – joining us and increasing our membership is the best way to indicate to food manufacturers that there is consumer demand for vegetarian products.
