This page exists to bring you further eating-out options in Auckland. To qualify for inclusion, each restaurant must fit certain criteria such as that protein dishes should be offered and there should be a real choice rather than the ubiquitous pasta and quiche dishes we so often see!

If you have a vegetarian-friendly restaurant you would like to recommend, please let us know about it, preferably including a summary of the vegetarian menu and a description of the chef’s awareness of vegetarianism – we have a new leaflet available which describes non-vegetarian ingredients (rennet, gelatine and animal fats) and has suggestions for chefs who are new to catering for the vegetarian market.  Our members have recently received a copy of this and we encourage you to share it with your local restaurants if you would like to frequent them!
