Mainland Cheese now has new packaging for a range of its cheeses, including the four vegetarian cheeses (Colby, Edam, Organic and Mild). However, while our Vegetarian Society Approved Trademark is still on the front of the package, the word “vegetarian” has been omitted from the list of ingredients on the back. It just says ‘rennet’. These cheeses are STILL VEGETARIAN, and we are working with the company to rectify the wording of the list of ingredients to include ‘vegetarian rennet’, as soon as possible.
