World Earth Day – Special Dinner at the Heritage Hotel @ The Heritage Restaurant
Apr 22 @ 5:30 pm – 10:30 pm

The first Earth Day on April 22, 1970, activated 20 million Americans from all walks of life and is widely credited with launching the modern environmental movement. The passage of the landmark Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act and many other groundbreaking environmental laws soon followed. Growing out of the first Earth Day, Earth Day Network (EDN) works with over 22,000 partners in 192 countries to broaden, diversify and mobilize the environmental movement. More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world.

In keeping with the theme of World Earth Day, The Heritage Restaurant is offering a special menu that uses locally produced ingredients, healthy and has minimal impact on the environment. Vegetables and bean products are used in 100% of the menu items as these use less resources to grow than mass-farmed animal products.

SPECIAL OFFER FOR NZVS MEMBERS ONLY

To recognise the members of the NZ Vegetarian Society, The Heritage Restaurant would like to offer each member a glass of vegan wine to go with their meal. If you are a NZVS member, please let the restaurant know either when you are making the dinner reservation or on the night.
