A soft, moist application to the body to relieve pain and swelling and promote healing. For use in cases of eg: earache, inflammation, bug bites, etc.
A poultice is a simple preparation you can make at home using common household ingredients. Poultices have been used for hundreds of years for insect bites, swelling, wound healing, broken bones, earache, local inflammation, sore muscles, boils, mastitis, and to draw out infections and poison.
In this workshop we will be working with herbs, vegetables and charcoal to learn how to make simple poultices you can use at home for common problems.
This workshop is not designed to replace the experience and advice of a medical practitioner.
