Check out our Local Groups page to find a vegetarian group near you, and let us know if you are organising something.

The Noticeboard is for you: contact us to post your requests or offers of accommodation, support, group membership, work, veg*n animal adoption, or local campaigns.

    1. Modern Vegetarian Cooking Class @ Pakuranga College
      6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      The days when vegetarian cooking meant a boring nut roast are long gone. This course will teach you how to cook delicious easy to prepare meals which are inexpensive and packed with flavour. If you want to save money on your weekly shopping bill this is the class for you. All ingredients supplied. Shared dinner at the end of the evening or you can bring a container to take food home for your family to try. You don’t have to be a vegetarian but you will go home wondering why you need to eat a lot of meat!!

    1. Active for Animals! Youth Group @ Trades Hall
      6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

      Active for Animals, open to all 8 to 13 year olds who are vegetarian, vegan or want to be, meets on the last Tuesday of the month in the Trades Hall, Grey Lynn, Auckland (6.30pm to 8.30pm).

      The aim of the group is to create a fun, supportive environment, where veg kids can feel normal and meet like minded friends. Sessions include games, visits from outside speakers, cooking and of course eating.

      The cost is $7 per session, which includes all food (vegan, of course!). We also take in to account food intolerances and cater for them, whenever possible.
