Just some of the comments from the hundreds of delighted visitors who braved the weather and came to view the related lifestyle products plus sample the numerous delicious offerings at the Vegetarian Food & Lifestyle Festival in Auckland on 1st October.
Stallholders were overwhelmed with the sheer numbers of visitors, with many having to dash out and replenish supplies of basics during the busy day in order to keep up with the demand.
The School Poster Competition proved very popular, with voting slips for favourites requiring a similar top-up throughout the day.
Cooking Demonstrations every hour were well attended and thoroughly enjoyed as a practical addition to the day’s activities.
Café tables were constantly in use by delighted samplers of both the Cooking Demos and the huge variety of vegetarian food available – as free samples and for purchase.
The Spot Prizes were an enjoyable extra and a great source of fun, and the odd “interview” with selected stallholders by MC Chris Anderson enlivened and informed throughout the day.
All in all, a highly successful and enjoyable celebration of World Vegetarian Day by a wide variety of people from many parts of Auckland. A special thanks to all stallholders and helpers who made this hugely successful festival happen.
