  • Healthy
  • Friendly to the environment

Our aims

  • To spread the principles of vegetarianism and its immense advantages.
  • To bring to people's attention the unnecessary cruelty to animals and destruction of the environment caused by a non-vegetarian way of life.
  • To assist those who have recently become vegetarians, or who are considering doing so.
  • To promote friendship amongst vegetarians and publish and distribute literature.
  • To stress the necessity for peace and harmony among people and ALL other living creatures.

Membership Offers

  • Quarterly magazine.
  • Access to postal library service, bookshop, and cassettes to borrow or buy.
  • Meetings are held and newsletters distributed in some centres.
  • For the first five months a series of informative letters regarding a vegetarian lifestyle are sent to new members.

There are two kinds of membership. FULL where abstention has been for three months or more; and ASSOCIATE where this has not been achieved, but a person wishes to co-operate with the aims of the Society.
