World Vegetarian Day

October 1st

Every year vegetarians around the world observe World Vegetarian Day to celebrate a healthy, compassionate and environmentally friendly way of life.

This year Auckland and Christchurch celebrated with Food & Lifestyle Festivals on the weekend before October 1st,  Gisborne members enjoyed a cruise on World Vegetarian Day, and local groups met to socialise together. Look for reports of all these events in the next issue of Vegetarian Living NZ.
