Taupo Marathon – Support Jeremy & Fundraise for NZVS
To prove athletes don’t need meat and we can thrive on a vegetarian diet, Jeremy O’Connor has decided to run the Taupo August marathon to test athletic performance on a vegetarian diet. Pretty much all he is eating is legumes, nuts and a lot of dark green vegetables. Fruit only while training and refined sugar just one day a week as a treat.
The plan is to finish the marathon in under 3hours 15minutes. Of the 277 competitors only 9 did this in the Taupo 2015 Marathon putting him in the top 3%.
This is a great challenge. Please support Jeremy and the NZ Vegetarian Society to spread the positive message.
