Fruit Cake Bliss Balls
A twist on Christmas puddings and Christmas cakes. Easy to make and eat. Submitted as part of our 2025 Christmas Cook Off by our President, Julia.
Ingredients
- 2 Cups fruit cake mixed fruit
- Fruit juice to moisten
- 1 Cup ground nuts
- Desiccated coconut to roll balls in
To decorate
- Red and green glace cherries chopped
- Icing
Directions
- In a food processor, mix the dried fruit to a paste consistency. If it doesn't mix well, add some fruit juice to moisten it.
- Add ground nuts and blend until mixed through.
- Use a teaspoon to scoop out a heaped teaspoon of mixture.
- Roll into a ball shape.
- Roll in coconut.
- Make icing and drop onto top of ball.
- Arrange chopped cherries to look like mistletoe.
- Store in a refrigerator.
